Tourism Board

The Board of Tourism was created to make recommendations to the Rock Port Board of Aldermen for expenditures of the monies received from the tourism tax.  Tourism tax monies are used to promote tourism to the City of Rock Port. 

Meetings

The Rock Port Tourism Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6pm at City Hall, unless otherwise specified.

Agendas & Minutes

Agendas are available prior to meetings.  All meeting agendas are posted no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting.  Minutes are available following approval.

Members

The Board of Tourism consists of nine members who are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen.  Tourism Board members serve three year terms.  One member of the Board of Aldermen, appointed by the Mayor, shall serve as a liaison in a non-voting capacity.

Qualifications

Tourism Board members must be residents of the City of Rock Port, or own a business within the City limits of Rock Port.
