Park Board

The Park Board is responsible for maintaining public parks for the City.  The Park Board has the exclusive control of the expenditure of all monies collected to the credit of the Park Board account.  The Park Board is responsible for the supervision, improvement, care and custody of all parks.

Meetings

The Rock Port Park Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm at City Hall, unless otherwise specified.

Members

The Park Board consists of nine members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen.  Members serve three year terms.

Qualifications

The members of the Park Board shall be citizens of the City and fit for such office.  No member of the Municipal Government of the City shall be a member of the Park Board.
