Annual Events:

Rock Port offers several opportunities annually for our citizens and area guests to experience the characteristic "small town atmosphere" that makes our corner of the state so special. School groups, churches, clubs and merchants unite their efforts to host community events for all to enjoy.

4th of July Family Festival
Softball and sand volleyball tournaments, frog jumping contest, water games, garden tractor pull and the largest display of fireworks in the area.

Atchison County Fair & Parade
Late July/Early August
All the traditional ingredients of a rural county fair, including livestock shows, home arts show and display, parade and tractor pull.

Old-Fashioned Saturday Night
Third Saturday in September
It's just like the good old days! Main Street is lined with games, rides, activities and contests for all ages. Try corn shelling, seed spitting, the chili cook-off or wheelbarrow rides.

Other annual events include the City-Wide Garage Sale, Blue Jay Relays, Cowboy Poetry Festival, Halloween Parade, a Quilt Show, and Slo Rollers Car Show.
